Point an OpenTelemetry SDK or Collector at MoleSignal. Both transports require a bearer credential with the permission streams.write.

Port 5082 is the trusted internal cluster port and is not an OTLP receiver.

OTLP over HTTP

Set the exporter endpoint to the /api base path. Exporters append /v1/logs, /v1/metrics, and /v1/traces themselves.

Header	Notes
`Authorization`	`Bearer <token>`.
`Content-Type`	`application/x-protobuf` or `application/json`. The JSON encoding writes 64-bit integers as strings, and MoleSignal reads strings and numbers alike.
`stream-name`	Optional. The target stream. The default is `default`.

The body must not be compressed: a compressed body answers 400. Disable compression in the exporter. The body limit is 2 MiB. A successful request answers 200 with {"partialSuccess":null}.

OTLP over gRPC

The receiver on :4317 serves the logs, metrics, traces, and profiles services without TLS. Send authorization: Bearer <token> and the optional stream-name as gRPC metadata. Terminate TLS in front of the port for traffic that leaves a trusted network.

Resource and record attributes become top-level fields with their original keys. See Stored fields for the columns of logs, spans, and metrics.

Errors

Status	Cause
`400`	A compressed body, or a body that is not valid OTLP.
`401`	Missing or invalid token.
`403`	The token lacks `streams.write`.
`404`	The exporter endpoint omits `/api`, so the request reaches `/v1/logs`.
`413`	The body exceeds 2 MiB.
